Instant messaging is the best communication channel for short online messages that need quick response in workplace. Now a days technology make such improvement in instant messaging that allow an integration to meet the needs of enterprises and companies specific need. ELECTRONIC MAIL

In the modern business world, Email is the communication channel that provide rich information to the world. It has been hailed as one of the greatest productivity tools of our time. By e-mail user can send messages to a single address and broadcast it to other users. User can save the Email as draft. When the message arrive in the mail inbox user can print, forward or save the information. Email process is mostly use in business sectors to remain contact with valuable customers and in educational institutions. Overall email impact the whole aspect of our life. Email is appropriate tool for short messages and it is not appropriate for confidential, sensitive and lengthy documents. Telephone conversation is the high richness information channel in business world. Telephone conversation can be very difficult. It is hard to talk with other person on telephone even in our native language. Videoconferencing technology has removed the barriers of meeting with the people at remote locations. It allows the organizations to do business deals with the other companies and contact with the colleagues as same if they were in the same room. FACE-TO-FACE CONVERSATION

Conversation means the informal discussion among the people. Face-to-Face conversation or personal conversation is one of the richest communication channels used by the organizations and companies in the workplace. This represent the physical appearance, the tone of the speaker and facial expression of the speaker. This is the best method to convey the emotionally charged message and it allow the interaction between the speakers and help them to clear ambiguity. A speaker can evaluate that audience or client has received his message or not. Moreover in this method both the information receiver and sender can receive their message clearly. (Acacio, 2012)

COMMUNICATION CHANNELS

Communication channels are types of media or network through which people send and receive messages. Organization decide to use effective communication channels to link with others, because communication are totally depend on the network that the company or organizations use. Inappropriate channels leads to the bad consequences. Different communication channels are used by business sectors like Face-to-Face conversation, Video Chats, Instant Messaging (IM), Memo, Report, Telephone, E-Mail, Letter, Blog, Wiki and like so on. (Grimsley, n.d.)

  • Verbal Communication
  • Written Communication
